It could be a good application BUT its missing a couple of things: 1) not optimised for iPhone 5 2) no support for .srt subtitles Solve this, and you get ***** !

Ive purchased AirPlayer for my iPad 2. I have an Apple TV 1080P and when I try to stream mkv film from Airplayer to Apple TV the only audio are sent to my TV. Why??

Please improve subtitles support! Often I cant open subs

Downloaded the app to watch a movie from my dnla server (works fine with my Samsung tv) and the audio is always out of sync. Not recommended.

the name is designed to deceive. looks like an app to use airplay on apple tv, and its not. my wife indeed got deceived… in any case, for a specialized tool with zero support and doc for over 4$ is a rip off.

Connecting to a DLNA server is flaky. Sometimes it takes more than 10 minutes to start playing a movie.

I use this app to stream music and movies to my iPhone and iPad. For what I use it for, it works perfectly. Your mileage may vary. I run Twonky on a Windows server where my files are stored, and I stream over wireless.

Works very well with the Linux based PMS server I have running. As a matter of fact it works better than my ps3 or any other dlna capable device I have. It just works!

New version update 1.1.08 is of very bad quality. The prior version worked better, although not perfect, but this new version buffers a lot when using DLNA video streaming (HDHomeRun Prime). Moreover, when buffering, the app will skip to the next file in the DLNA video list--in my case this results in changing channels. Moreover, the new app cannot find the list of DLNA servers in the network effectively. I have to open and close app several times. Prior version would find them almost instantly. Very unhappy with new version. Wish I could get my money back. Note: my network configuration hasnt changed. All I did was update the app last night and now the app performs poorly.

Works perfect now that I have iPhone 5s. Out if sync audio was because older (even 4s) couldnt process HD streams

Plays *.mpg and none of the other ones play this format correctly. Plays files off the NAS. Wonderful app. Its worth the price.
